A Evening at the Theatre.

Earlier last month Ava and I attended the theatre to see Cinderella. It was a fun mother/ daughter night together. Our first time at the theatre together. It was fun getting all dressed up and spending the evening together.

Ava picked out a pretty gold sparkly dress. She and I both love us some sparkles.

We of coarse made Daddy take some pictures of us before we left.

I wore this dress last year for Easter and it's still one of my favorites, I get great compliments on it each time I wear it. I'm looking forward to many more theatre dates with me and my little princess.

DIY Heart on Your Sleeve T-shirt

Valentine's Day is coming soon, and I love a fun festive holiday! I don't take it to seriously but I love making my kiddos some heart shaped pancakes and having a fun filled day with them. One Valentine's Day my hubby brought Ava home a heart shaped balloon, she was over the moon excited about this shiny heart ballon. Have a little fun and don't take it so serious!

I saw this knit sweater months back that had knitted hearts on the elbows of this sweater. It was so adorable but a bit out of my budget. I decided I might be able to make something similar.

Here's what you'll need for this project:

Long sleeve t-shirt (mine is from Target)

Red felt (JoAnn's)

Aleene's Fabric Fusion (JoAnn's)

Here's what you'll do:

Wash and dry your shirt before anything. Put your shirt on and mark off with a sharpie where your elbows are with an "X" (see image.) Then you'll take your shirt off and place a small piece of card stock in the arms of your shirt where you placed your X. You don't want the glue to seam together your elbows, and this prevents that from happening.

Then you'll cut out your hearts. I used a heart cookie cutter to trace my heart. I wanted it to be a perfect heart shape, so I used the cookie cutter to make it. Then I cut it out and placed them over the elbows. Using the fabric fusion I glued down my hearts completely. Let them dry for a couple hours. Go back and check to make sure everything is glued down, if not add more glue where needed.

Then you're ready to do with a perfectly adorable shirt with a little something extra! This shirt is perfect for my everyday jeans + tee style!

Paired with my clutch from Ivey Expressions. I love this clutch so much, it holds a ton of stuff for a clutch. Has a cute wrist strap and tassel to make you feel extra fancy. And, all proceeds go towards their adoption, so you're shopping for a great cause.

This is the perfect little DIY shirt, you could also switch it up for other holidays as well. Shamrocks anyone?!?

Happy DIY shirt making peeps!

Sparkles Are Acceptable to Wear Everyday.

I wore this outfit to church on Sunday, it seem appropriate for the holiday season. Someone asked me at church if I'd picked this out to wear for New Year's Eve, to which I replied "Sparkles are acceptable for every wear."

It's true. If there's one thing I gravitate towards on my wardrobe it's glitter, sparkles, something that shines.... you get the point.

I've worn this skirt before and every time I put it on I think I fall in love with it just a teeny bit more. It's one of my faves, it might seem a bit over the top but for this pageant loving girl who loves her a little sparkle it's just home for me.

I paired it with this adorable "Joyful" tee from Lola and Darla. It screams Christmas to me.

I've also in the last year become a huge fan of online shopping and finding new online boutiques to shop from. Two that I fell in love with this year are Lola and Darla and Mindy Mae's Market. Both adorable shops and feed my need for a little sparkle!

What's your go-to outfit? What do you find yourself shopping for over and over again? Do you have a fave online shop? Tell me in the comments below, I'd love to check them out.

Gold Inspired Fall Manicure

Are you guys still obsessed with gold just like me?! I sure hope so, I just can't get enough of it. Perhaps it's my love of glitter and all things sparkly.

For some Fall inspired nails I did some color blocking with two different colors, and I love the way it turned out. For Fall I love putting a darker color on my nails. I always do my own manicures at home.

Here's the polishes I used:

Essie's Bahama Mama

Revlon's Gold coin (best gold polish I've tried!)

Sally Hansen's top coat

I used the Essie first, then just did Revlon's Gold Coin on one side. I did this free hand, but you could also use a piece of washi tape to get a clean and even line on each nail.

I love this look for Fall and winter months. And I'm still obsessed with gold, how about you? What are you fave fall nail trends?

My Fall Wish List

October is my birthday month and Christmas is just around the corner so I thought it was the perfect time to put together a little 'Fall Wish List' together. A not so subtle hint to my Hubby for what to get me for these occasions!

These Kate Spade studs have been on my mind for sometime now, as well as the black & white stripe bag. Who can resist those classic stripes? I think not.

What are some things you're wishing for this season?
