READ | Breaking Busy by Alli Worthington

I first was introduced to Ali Worthington through the blog world, she's the creator and founder of Blissdom (a blogging conference.) I was able to hear her speak at Propel Women last May and fell in love with her even more.

I adore her soft spoken voice, but don't let that fool you this mama of five has some spunk. She recently released a book at the end of January and I had the opportunity to read an advance copy before it came out.

'Breaking Busy' is a book about letting go of the ideas that we put on ourselves of what we think we should do and really taking a look at what God wants us to do. This thought has gripped me these last few weeks since finishing this book.

Another portion of the book I really loved was when she talked about "editing our lives" the idea being that we should every now and then be taking a look at the areas and things that we fill out lives with and make sure we are doing the things God has really called us to for that season.

As we as women learn to let go of our own expectations and things we put on ourselves we see the freedom that God can give us in these areas of our lives.

I loved this book it was the perfect read to start this new year, if you're looking for a book to read this year to kick you in the pants and challenge you I encourage you to give this one a read. You can pick it up here.

I was on the book launch team for Breaking Busy, where I was given a complimentary copy for the purpose of a review. All opinions are my own.
