My Favorite Fall Coat & Cozy Blanket Scarf

The drop in temperatures here in Phoenix has been a welcome change from our normal triple digits! I welcome this time of year as a lovely break from the heat. One of the main things I miss about living somewhere that has four seasons is Fall! 

Fall has always been my favorite time of year, pumpkin everything, a change in temperatures and layering in cozy sweaters, scarves and boots! So when the temperatures drop and I get the chance to layer I'm all about it. 

I found the perfect Fall coat, it's not to hot or bulky. It's a perfect grey color and paired with a black and white blanket scarf you can't go wrong.

Back in October my husband and I took a trip to see friends in Minneapolis and it was the perfect accessories to have on hand. My friend Jessie who is an amazing local Minneapolis photographer took some pictures for me while our husbands sat a nearby coffee shop.

Summer Beauty Faves

Summer is the perfect time to find new things, try some color and shake up your routine. I'm going minimal with my makeup this Summer. No fuss but still feeling confident. 

I thought I'd share some of my favorite Summer beauty must haves for my family and myself. These are the products I'm reaching for most these days. 

Organic Healing Balm- I love this stuff and I've been using it over a year now. For the summertime since I'm in sandals so much I slather it on my heals at night and cover my feet with socks to help keep them moisturized and not dry during this time of year. I also love it for scrapes on my kids. 

Honest Bug Spray- I keep this in my kiddos bag for when we're out at the park or splash pad. It also comes in handy at night when they are playing in the back yard. 

Sunscreen Stick- Sunscreen in a stick?! I'll never go back, so easy to apply on my kids. 

Lip Bon Bon in Red Velvet Cake- This is the perfect hint of color and chapstick combo! Plus it smells like dessert. 

Essie Gel Top Coat- This gel top coat is amazing. A friend of mine shared it with me, and the first time I used it my mani lasted 2 weeks! And I love this new Essie color I picked up, it's the perfect pink for Summer! 

L'OREAL Everpure Repair & Defend Hair Lotion- This stuff is so good! My hair takes a lot of "heat" and this stuff keeps it soft and damage free. And helps speed up the air drying time on my hair. 

Younique Moodstruck Opulence Lipstick in Upper Class- The perfect shimmery nude for Summer.

A New Favorite Dress!

I'm a skirt and dress girl through and through. Sure I have my casual days of t-shirts and jeans but when I get ready for the day or like to dress up those are the first things I go towards. I love easy dresses and skirts that make style look effortless. 

I was searching for a new black & white stripe dress, I had one that I loved but it quickly became to big after losing weight. I stumbled upon this one from Ollie Marie Boutique. I love it so much, the fabric is really soft and buttery. It's flowy and forgiving, and I love the hi low effect. I have a hard time with maxi dresses since I'm so short but this is the perfect length. 

Perfect for wearing during Springtime and the coming hot months here in Phoenix!  I feel like you could dress this up with heels but for church yesterday I went with my fave sparkly sandals from Target!

Mommy & Me Buffalo Check.

When Ava woke up on Sunday she declared that we should wear our matching shirts! How could I say no? Buffalo check is my fave this season, well actually anything plaid. I'm using it in our holiday decor this year too! 

Ava's dress is from H&M, I couldn't find it online but it's sold in stores. I love that this look can be holiday ready because of the fun print, or simply just wear for everyday. I got this vest on super clearance earlier this year at Target, love those finds! 

My sweet kiddos. I'm so thankful for them; for their grace for me on days I don't deserve it and their love. There's nothing better than an unexpected "I love you mom" from these two.  I don't know if they'll always want to be like me, but I pray that God gives me a heart after Him so that they will want to follow Jesus all of their days.
