I'm excited to start sharing more video devotionals here on my blog and on my YouTube Channel. This is something God has placed on my heart for a while. I hope you enjoy and will join me from time to time as we have faith chats & Bible talks.

If you aren't subscribed to my channel you can do that here.

Fall To-Do List.

Fall is my most favorite time of year. Although, it doesn't seem like Fall here in Phoenix until about November I still love "everything Fall."

It's the start of the holiday season that leads us right into Thanksgiving & Christmas. I love the smells of Fall, boots, comfy sweaters and all the PSL I can handle! Here's some things I'm craving to do this fall:

  • Take a weekend trip to the mountains.
  • Visit the pumpkin patch.
  • Make Carmel apples.
  • Have a cookie decorating party with friends.
  • Decorate pumpkins.
  • Dress up for Halloween.
  • Make homemade cider.
  • Have a Fall bonfire with friends.
  • Get our pictures taken for our holiday card.
  • Find the perfect Fall scent for our home.

Those are just a few fun things I've got on my mind this Fall most of all which revolve around food and decorating something! Something about this season makes me want to create with my hands a lot and make sure we have tons of memories doing so.

What's on your Fall to-do list?

Room Reveal | Zane's Toddler Room

We have spent the last month finishing Zane's new room. When we first moved into this house we just relocated all his nursery furniture into his room, slowly over the last few months I've been selling all the old nursery furniture to make room for his new bed and other furniture.

We used all of the existing decor and items, but the brand new items we brought in were a new bed, and a shelf for toy storage, and new sheets and a blanket.

Ready to see his new room? Let's get started!

Here's the view when you walk into the room from the hallway. This is his little reading nook. I love this little space, and I imagine him playing in this little corner a lot.

Below is a full room view of his new bed, the toy shelf, his gallery wall and other art work. I love building a gallery wall and I have them in many spaces through out my home. I love that his tells a great story. We've got a mix of new born photos and a more recent, plus art work from my shop and other pieces he had in his nursery. The globe was a purchase I got at EJs Auction.

I wanted a shelf that I could display little momentos and things that have special significance. I found the shelf at World Market and added some of my favorite things from his room. The football figurines were also a purchase from EJs Auction.

His closet is huge, since he doesn't have a dresser it works out nicely to hold all his things. The banner above was made by a friend and was part of the decor at my baby shower with Zane. It's a personal touch to his room.

I love how his big boy bed turned out! He loves it too and has been so excited to sleep here. The curtains are from Land of Nod, I had my eye on them for his nursery but just never ended up getting them. When we decided to makeover his room they were a must have on the list! His quilt was made by a friend and given to me when I was pregnant. I added the football blanket and chevron sheets, both from Target.

His room turned out so nice, and as I was sitting in there with his yesterday afternoon it was so cozy. I love making my kids spaces into something they love. It makes my heart happy as mom to create something like this for them.

Thank you for touring his space with me.

I completed this space with the help of Ejs Auction & Consignment. As part of their 'Bid on A Budget' contest. Please go here and vote for my room and see the other rooms in the contest.

DIY | Zane's Big Boy Bed

We've been working a lot on re decorating Zane's room from nursery to toddler room. So far I've sold all the old nursery furniture and used that budget to buy the new items we wanted for the room. I was excited to partner with EJs Auction & Consignment on this project. I attended one of their Saturday auctions bid & won this bed for Zane's room.

I'd been searching Craiglist for something similar so I knew exactly how much I was willing to bid on this bed. I paid $50 for the bed. Here's what the bed looked like before. Not quite our style, but we planned on fixing that.

My husband spent a few days sanding through all the varnish so that we could paint it. I originally was going to do a wood stain but after some trial I didn't end up liking the shade. I also have a few different wood tones in his room already so we decided to paint it.

I love the look of chalk paint, so I decided to use that. I used General Finishes Milk Paint in Driftwood. I love how it turned out with the chalk paint.

Here's the beautiful after. The grey is a nice compliment I think to his room that is full of reds, creams and whites.

Come back tomorrow to see the full room reveal! I can't wait to show you how this space came together!

Thank you to EJs Auction & Consignment for partnering with me on this room makeover.
