Perfect Apple Cider

I made the best hot apple cider for our cookie party a couple weeks ago. It's the perfect yummy treat to pair with all your Fall get togethers! Here's how you can make your own yummy perfect cider!

What You'll Need:

2 qts. store bought Apple Cider

1/4 c. brown sugar

1 tsp. ground nutmeg

1/8 tsp. ginger

1 Orange cut into quarters

2 Cinnamon Sticks

Whip Cream

Add everything into your crock pot and cook on high for an hour and a half. This is going to smell up your house with the most amazing aroma! Your guests will feel so cozy and welcome from the moment they arrive.

Spoon with a ladle into some glasses, add an apple slice for extra garnish. Top with some whipped cream and ENJOY!

Stichfix #4: What I kept & What I didn't!

I got my latest Stitchfix last week! If you're following me on Periscope (andreamworley) I did a little un boxing of my latest fix and my first impressions of the items they sent me. You can watch the video below and when you're done we'll talk about what I kept and didn't keep from this fix!

Ok, so now that we've seen what came in my box let's get to trying stuff on and my thoughts about what I kept and didn't keep. I specifically asked for a pair of black skinny jeans, and some dresses in my fix.

I got 2 dresses, 1 pair of skinny jeans, 1 shirt and 1 sweater.

First up was this cobalt blue top, I loved the color. However the fit was to bit and the arm holes were to big as well. Verdit: sent back.

The black skinny jeans my stylist sent were spot on! They are so comfy and soft and they have a cute zipper detail on the ankle. Verdict: Keep.

This cable knit sweater was so soft and cozy, it's perfect for those Fall nights here in Phoenix. Since I usually don't wear a coat this is perfect for when the evenings get a bit chilly. Verdict: Keep.

Ok, onto dresses; I was really hoping that I would love these. Initially I loved the black and white stripe one but when I put it on it didn't fit me as well as hoped. The other dress fit me well, but I wasn't sure if I liked the pattern and colors of navy & green. When my husband got home I tried it on for him and he didn't like it either.

Verdit on dresses: Send back.

There you have it, all my thoughts on my #4 fix! If you haven't tried Stitchfix yet what are you waiting for? Use my referal code and sign up. I get $25 credit when you sign up. Go here.

Community & Setting the Table.

Happy Monday friends! Today I want to talk about community and what it means to prepare our hearts.

As I was setting the table for family dinner one night God was gently reminding me that community starts here at setting the table. Not so much not literally but more it starts with preparing our hearts for community to happen.

That could mean stepping outside your comfort zone, that could mean opening your home when you don't usually, that could mean freeing up more time in your schedule when you know you need to cultivate relationships.

I truly believe that we all want and desire God given community, but it's not just going to drop in our laps. We have to make it happen, we have to step outside of ourselves and create it. This is where we set the table, join me for today's chat;

In what ways do you feel God's nudging to 'set the table?' In what ways can you go outside your comfort zone and create an atmosphere for community? Can you read out this week to someone and begin creating community?
