EP 40: Productivity Hacks that Help Me!

Happy Tuesday! I’m so glad you’re joining me for another episode of the podcast! Today we’re chatting about productivity hacks! These have all helped me be more productive over the years, and today I’m sharing them with you today. I hope you’re able to take something useful from today’s episode and apply it to your own life, even if you can’t use them all.

My workspace I mentioned in this episode.

  1. Clear out virtual & physical clutter.

    • having a clean space helps you be more productive when you sit down to work. Listen to my episodes on this here, and here.

  2. Review our family every Sunday with my spouse

    • every week we sit down and review what we have going on for the week with our schedules, kids, etc.

    • I use a paper calendar and a dry erase one too so that my family knows what’s going on and can refer to it weekly.

  3. Work in time blocks.

    • do 1 thing for a certain amount of time, when the timer is done stop and move onto the next thing.

  4. Manage my house well.

    • figure out what a weekly schedule and how you can make it work for you. Everyone manages their homes in different ways so it’s key for you to figure out how to make it work. I do one load of laundry every day to stay on top of everything, that way I’m not doing laundry during the weekends and take away from family time.

  5. Make a to-do list for the week, and give yourself a lot of grace.

    • I used to make a to-do list daily, but then I realized I needed to give myself a lot of grace to finish it during the week and not be so hard on myself when it all doesn’t get done in a day. Giving myself a week to get everything done, takes the pressure off of having to do it all within a day and helps me to prioritize tasks.

EP 39: Friendish with Kelly Needham

Today I’m so excited to share with you guys my interview with Kelly Needham, she’s the author of the new book Friendish. I talked about this book a few weeks ago on social media, and I just knew I wanted to have Kelly on the show and chat about this topic. Friendship is so important to us, in fact I have a whole podcast where one of the pillars is community. But, what I’ve learned over the years and what this book so greatly touches on is the importance that Jesus is to have in our lives first and then in our relationships with others.

I’m excited for you to listen to this episode!

More about Kelly;

My life goal is to convince as many people as possible that nothing compares to knowing Jesus! (Phil 3:7-9) The best thing about my day is growing in my knowledge of and love for our Father God, His Son Jesus, and His Holy Spirit through diligent study of His Word and prayer.  Above all else I treasure Him.  And my life unravels when anything else takes His place. That's what this blog is about: learning to treasure and enjoy Jesus Christ above all else.

I pray that everything you read here will push you to forsake lesser loves and pursue Him wholeheartedly until He truly is your first love.

May He receive all the glory, honor, and praise He so rightly deserves!

Welcome back friends to another episode of the Flourish Together Podcast! Today on the show we’re talking about why it’s so important to know and understand the season God has you in.

Key Ideas to Remember:

  • Know your season, God has uniquely equipped you.

  • Run your race, only you can do that.

  • Pray and ask God to show you what he has for you during the season you are in.

September Amazon Favorites.

I’m back another month with my favorites from Amazon. If you are new here, each month I’m rounding up five things I’m loving and sharing them with you. Everything is linked below and why I love it!

Also here’s my tips for Amazon;

  • try Prime wardrobe- this has been a game changer for me. I’m posting my thoughts soon.

  • make “lists” of all the things you’re thinking about trying and buying. I have lists for everything in my Amazon account. Instead of adding it to my cart, I make wish lists of all categories and then save items there till I’m ready to purchase. This helps me to really shop/search and decide if I want these items or not before I purchase.

Ok, now onto the faves:

  1. Daily Rituals Tshirt Dress- I love a good t-shirt dress, this amazon brand is so soft. I live in dresses like these and these are under $30! You need them in all the colors.

  2. The softest sheets ever- You guys I love these sheets so much I’ve bought them twice! Under $30 for a king size, literally so affordable. AND they are the softest ever, I didn’t have high hopes for these but man they kicked it out of the park! You need these.

  3. Catalina Boyshort Swim bottoms- a friend of mine told me about these swim bottoms and as a mom who wants full coverage bottoms these are great. they are thick fabric and hold it all in, mmmkay… you need these.

  4. Carseat Bench cover- Do you have messy kids? ok, me too! These carseat bench cover is great for kids. I put in my back seat bench, it helps protect the seat interior, i just vacuum it and it’s great.

  5. Milk frother- If you don’t have one of these you aren’t living! Instantly froth your coffee just like you’re in a coffee shop but at home!

EP 37: Raising Kids with Purpose w/ Adriane Thompson

Today’s episode is a fun one for me, because it’s with my friend Adriane from Raising Kids with Purpose! We met at a women’s Bible study at church. I was the new girl, I’m so glad I sat next to her that day. Adriane and I chat about the family meeting and why it’s important and why you should do it. She also tells us all about emotional regulation and the benefits to it. I know you’re going to enjoy this episode, go give Adriane a follow if you aren’t already. She’s full of wisdom and knowledge and I can’t wait to share that with all of you in today’s episode.

A little bit more about Adriane:

Adriane Thompson is a mom to three loud and boys who are full of life. Learning and sharing all the knowledge she has acquired over the past ten years with other parents is her passion so she create Raising Kids With Purpose. Her goal is to inspire parents like you to create lifelong connections with their children. You can snag her most popular printable, The Calm Down ToolKit for Kids.
